Textbook Maneuver unleashes a reworked take on ‘Adrenaline Slip‘ today, October 17, 2025, complete with a matching video through his own Life Science Records, LLC label—the original cut anchored his self-titled debut album earlier this year. Behind the project stands Michael Keane, a Bronx-raised, New Jersey-rooted composer who’s fused classical piano chops with a raw punk edge since kicking things off. Keane draws from a broad field, including Genesis‘s Duke period, Rush, Gary Numan, The Postal Service, U.N.K.L.E., and Phantogram, to craft tracks that blend IDM’s brainy structures with ambient drifts and prog-tinged beats, primed for syncs in film, TV, or games.
The revamped ‘Adrenaline Slip‘ layers in evolving beats that spill over into sharp synth pulses, subtle glints, and overlaid textures, building a dense web of shifting moods. It swings from wide-open chill zones to brooding, icy vibes before ramping up to a frantic close, showcasing Keane’s command of IDM’s intricate builds.
Textbook Maneuver had this to say: “‘Adrenaline Slip‘ was the song I composed that hit me the most, in a good way. I knew I wanted a killer track to become the lead track and the title of the album. I had come up with the name “Adrenaline Slip” before I had the song. I am trying to capture those moments of adrenaline rush, like skateboarding, dancing, rollerblading, or just hanging out with friends —whatever gives you a rush. I find, in those moments, there is also a moment of calm because you are doing something you love or enjoy with people you are connecting with. So that is the “slip” part. The feeling slips into calm for a moment, but then goes back to adrenaline. This is why the song has its very EDM moments, but then slower, synth/ prog chillout sections, and it all ends in an uptempo, almost punk rock speed.“
