Tying a bow on the legacy of producer Øfdream, Millenium evokes a feeling. Perhaps it’s the way the producer filtered the instruments, built energy in the arrangement, or maybe even the way he combined these elements. Either way, the project has a definite sound. Released by The Playground Records, the project is a heartfelt farewell to a talented young musician who began his journey by tinkering with progressive house, then fiddling with hip-hop, and later infusing the rhythmic elements with the frantic qualities of Garage.

These influences would go on to sculpt the producer’s musical identity, one that remains clear throughout the newly released EP. When asked about the project, he said, “I am really happy with the release of ‘Millennium’. I worked hard on the different atmospheres and space of this EP and hope it takes your mind on a trip.” And now fans get to experience the very project he was once so thrilled to have created. Is there a better way to honour the musician’s craft? We think not.
