On May 9, 2025, Soft Changa, the daring duo of Jo.Ke and ulises, released Surely via House Of Frequency, a track that dives deep into experimental electronica. Jo.Ke, known for the Burning Man hit Who Loves The Sun with 350 million streams, rose from Berlin’s avant-garde BAR25 scene, amassing 2.2 million monthly Spotify listeners. He’s a chameleon—solo artist, DJ, and part of Feathered Sun’s organic downtempo collective, with releases on Platon Records, Circus Company, and Denature. ulises, a Buenos Aires-born multi-instrumentalist, crafts a sonic mosaic from techno, folk, and spiritual influences, pulling from Zen Buddhism, Jorge Luis Borges, and Depeche Mode. His work on Sol Selectas, Scorpios Music, MoBlack Records, and Kiosk ID blends indigenous sounds with cutting-edge electronics. With bold performances at WOMOON (Ibiza), Burning Man, and BRAVO GNP, Soft Changa’s risk-taking sound channels the experimental spirit of David Bowie and Brian Eno, carving a niche for fans of WhoMadeWho and Monolink.

Surely is a fearless sonic experiment, shattering conventional electronic molds. Its four-on-the-floor backbone anchors a chaotic blend of skittering percussion, warped pads, and jagged synth lines, while ulises’s haunting guitar riffs collide with Jo.Ke’s melancholic vocals, yearning for connection in a euphoric haze. Co-written by the duo, produced by ulises, and mixed by Jan Siebert, the track recalls the payoff of bold risks in electronic music—like Aphex Twin’s genre-bending Windowlicker or Bonobo’s textured Cirrus, where unconventional layers became dancefloor staples. Soft Changa’s willingness to fuse disparate elements creates a sound that’s as unpredictable as it is gripping, built for adventurous listeners and late-night festival sets.

“Our newest release Surely talks about the feeling of missing that special person, especially and even more so when surrounded by people in the euphoric mood of a party. How no matter if you‘re having a really good time and with plenty of friends and beautiful others you just wish your loved one was there with you,” Soft Changa shared. This emotional rawness, wrapped in their experimental framework, makes Surely a testament to the rewards of sonic risk-taking. Stream it now to experience Soft Changa’s boundary-pushing vision, a track that proves experimenting in electronic music can yield unforgettable results.
