Since 1980 Der Mussikant has been producing electronic music as an independent musician in his own studio – in all its technical development and the respective available possibilities. Always with the aim of keeping the means of production and the decisions in one's own hands. An original of German Elektro-music – more precisely of Minimal electronic. The musician can not only be seen in the studio but also live on stage.
First, the cult EP “Veitstanz” (Schrott02) was released as “Der künftige Musikant” in 1982. The Zu tot um zu sterben was re-released on the Cherry Red Records Sampler (CRCDBOX35) NOISE REDUCTION SYSTEM.
My music is like the loud singing or whistling of an anxious boy in a dusky forest: Self-encouraging and banishing evil spirits at the same time.
“Der Mussikant” is a solo project that was started in 1980 in Stuttgart, Germany under the name “Der künftige Musikant”. The first works were done with a tape recorder that had a multiplay function, a Yamaha CS-5 synthesizer and a borrowed rhythm machine. Various band projects and live performances followed.
All recordings are written and produced at the “bu-bu Musikverbreitung” studio. The focus is on Ambient Music, Minimal electronics and Minimal Music.
