New Deftones record for 2016

The new record, yet to be named, has release aimed for early 2016 after originally being slated for November this year.  The follow-up to 2012s ‘Koi No Yokan’ was confirmed by drummer Abe Cunningham and keyboardist Frank Delgado.

Delgado told Morning Blaze (as reported by Upset): “It’s going to come out in the new year…We had some dates that were already kind of tentative.” He also confirmed they’d been allowed to take their time on the record, “for the first time ever.”
Cunningham added: “It’s being mixed now. It started being mixed a couple weeks back. They’re actually going tomorrow to go down and listen to mixes and do things and… We’re mixing and we still are in the process of album title, artwork, song titles. We haven’t even got there yet, but the music’s done.”

Until then here’s their 1997 classic ‘My Own Summer (Shove It)’
